How to Grow Dill?
Needs full sun, Annual plant, height around 20cm, 35 days to maturity from sowing. Easy growing, favorite for seasoning with leaves Aromatic, late flowering.
sow seeds thinly across a 30 cm soil bed, cover the seeds with compost or peat moss , thin the plants to 15 cm apart when they are 3 cm tall
Pot to soil bed:
Prepare bed by mixing old soil with compost and some fertilizer to a depth of 15cm. Level with rake to remove unwanted stones or plants.
Dig holes deep enough to fit the root ball. Carefully remove the plants from its pot and loosen the soil in the root with hands to prevent damaging the roots.
Place top of rootevenly with the surrounding soil and add more soil to the top of the roots then press soil down firmly with your hands. Add mulch layer if needed for water retention, even temperature and reduce weeds. Avoid mulch from contacting the plants.Keep soil moist and fertilized as needed.
Harvest fresh leaves when needed.
